About Us

At Opus Emiliano, we believe a handbag is never just a handbag, but a vessel of meaning and carrier of time. Rooted in the timeless spirit of classical antiquity and heritage of the Dutch Golden Age, Opus Emiliano is brought to life through modern craftsmanship. Our brand reimagines accessories as poetic objects: intimate, bold, and enduring. The mythic figures, sculptural forms, golden light, and philosophical clarity of the ancient world infuse each silhouette. Our pieces do not follow trends; they stand outside of time.

Our flagship model, the Aemilianus, encapsulates this vision: a geometric masterpiece rendered in rich textures and commanding hues. Designed to provoke intrigue and admiration, it is a statement of both power and poetry. Each Opus Emiliano piece is produced in limited batches to reduce waste and honour the artistry of slow creation. Our materials are ethically sourced, and every detail, from carefully matched palettes to hand-selected linings, is crafted with precision and soul.

We invite you to step into a world where mythology meets modernity, where fashion becomes narrative, and where every bag whispers a story. Whether carried in the city or captured in soft golden light, Opus Emiliano is for those who see luxury not just as a status, but as a language.

About our founder

Three sisters, born and raised in Amsterdam, are the minds and hearts behind Opus Emiliano. While pursuing her medical degree, Angelique began shaping a different kind of legacy, one stitched in leather and laced with meaning.

Drawing from their shared background in classical Latin and a lifelong bond, the sisters envisioned a brand where myth, material, and modernity could converge. Today, Angelique leads Opus Emiliano as founder, with support of partners Gloria and Elisabeth, building on the vision they shaped together and contributing to its creative foundation and ongoing spirit.

Their mission is clear: to create objects of beauty that feel like artefacts of identity. Intimate, enduring, and deeply personal.
